I started collectiong gachapon in 2023 or so, when I moved back to Tokyo. It's funny, I remember telling myself, You're an adult now. Don't waste your money on capsule toys this time because I used to buy them occasionally, usually phone charms. Then I got really into doll collecting and I noticed that a lot of gachapon miniatures are doll scale.

⅓ and ⅙ scale miniatures of everyday items are my favorite capsule toys because I use them for doll photography props. Over time, though, I've gotten interested in collecting gahca gacha toys as its own hobby.

I usually buy them from the machine but sometimes, if I really want a specific item, I'll try to find it secondhand.

February 17, my birthday, is Gacha Gacha Day.
