His Dark Materials

My dæmon is a tanuki named Polaris, settled sometime around 2013. We were late to settle because of childhood trauma: our father died when we were 14, around the time many dæmons settle.
For a long time, we pretended to have settled as a least weasel to fit in with our peers.

Polaris is visible in my paracosm.

My His Dark Materials OC is Mary Brigid Mohan and her dæmon, Orion.

Pokémon

My first partner Pokémon was a Chikorita named "Chacha"! We traveled together throughout Johto starting when I was 10. We grew up together but Chacha never evolved, choosing to stay as Chikorita.

Lapras and Umbreon were part of our Elite Four team. I caught Lapras early on in my journey and she has always been my most faithful and friendly Pokémon. Umbreon and I didn't get along at first but he evolved one night when we finally connected. Porygon is a family pet who helps me at my job! I hatched Tyranitar from a baby and helped him grow up big and strong.

Because I bike and walk a lot, I support other trainers by helping their eggs hatch.

I grew up playing Gen 2 and then going back to Gen 1. I "grew out of" Pokémon for awhile and never played Gen 3+, so my personal Pokémon universe is Johto and Kanto only.

I was literally Matthias in a past life.

My Redwall OC is Briar, who lives in a timeskip modern Mossflower Country.

Harry Potter

I was an American transfer student at Hogwarts from 2000-2007. My wand is 13", ironwood with a banshee hair core from my family's banshee. I was sorted into Ravenclaw, where I was a prefect from 2005-2007. In 2020, I returned my wand & prefect badge in protest of Hogwarts policy on trans students and ongoing discrimination against minority religions and disabled students.

I no longer write Harry Potter fanfiction but my OCs were Alice Worthington, Avarelle Worthington, and Ishtar O'Connor.

The Lord of the Rings

Rather than going to Middle-earth, (someone from) Middle-earth came to me. (… two someones, actually.)

My Quenya amilessë is Atariel. My epessë is Ambarónën (kilmessë: Umbarónën).

My Lord of the Rings OC is Máriël.
